When is Peony Season? (Ordering Guide)

Peonies are strictly seasonal flowers.
Peak Season: May to July (mainly from Holland). This is when quality is highest and blooms are largest.
Off-Peak: November to January (from New Zealand/Chile). Availability is limited and prices may vary. Please check with us before ordering off-season.

Why do Peonies arrive as buds?

To maximize the vase life of your Peony Bouquet, we often craft them using flowers in a "semi-open" or "bud" stage. Peonies bloom rapidly (often called "exploding"). Once in water, you will witness the magical transformation from a tight bud to a magnificent full bloom within 1-2 days.

How to care for sticky Peony buds?

Keep them in a cool place away from direct sunlight. If a bud feels sticky (due to natural nectar) and won't open, gently wipe the bud with a damp cloth or rinse it lightly with water to help the petals release.
